1 min read

George W. Hough, 28, of Lowers Street, Fayette City, died from blunt force trauma injuries following an accident on his motorcycle Monday night on Route 201.

State police in Belle Vernon said Hough was traveling north at 11:16 p.m. when he lost control of his bike, left the roadway and hit an embedded railroad tie. The bike spun out of control and hit a hillside, throwing him off the bike and into a tree.

The Fayette County Coroner’s office reported that Hough’s blood alcohol content of .189 percent was a contributing factor in the accident.

He was taken by ambulance to Highlands Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma to the abdomen at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday.

The accident occurred just south of a township road and 2.5 miles south of Route 51.

Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and Fayette EMS assisted.
