William Paul Swartz

William Paul Swartz, 57, of Chewtown, Centerville Boro, Pa., died Monday, July 14, 2003 in the VA Medical VA Center, Aspinwall, Pa. He was born August 27, 1945 in Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Andrew and Mary Fatyora Swartz.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Brownsville, Pa., a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was a Purple Heart recipient; member of American Legion Post 705 Centerville, Pa., and the Victory Club in Denbo.

He is survived by three brothers, John Swartz of Evergreen Park, IL., Andrew Swartz of Centerville Boro, and Stephen Swartz and wife Delores of Centerville Boro; two sisters, Elaine Shashura and husband Steve of Centerville Boro and Maryann Sostak and husband John of Lemont Furnace; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m., where a Panachida Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, Pa. with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.

Parish Rosary will be recited today at 3 p.m. Parastas Service will be held this evening at 7 p.m.
