Margaret M. Burns
Margaret M. Campbell Burns, 86, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday morning, July 15, 2003, in Mount Macrina Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Saulte St. Marie, Canada, the daughter of the late William A. Campbell and Anne Cimino Campbell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, William R. Burns in March, 1967; and husband, William J. Burns in September, 1983.
Margaret was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister, a Past Grand Regent of Court Uniontown 505, a State Chairman of the CDA, past vice president of St. John’s Christian Mothers, a former Board member of The American Red Cross, and was employed by the Avon Company for 34 years.
Surviving are her beloved daughter, Mary Lou Furman and husband, Elmer of Pittsburgh, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Michael, Susan, John, Anne, Thomas, Maureen and Daniel; a great-grandson, Benjaman Furman; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Freeman; a brother, James Campbell and wife, Beatrice of Uniontown; a sister, Rita Murphy and husband, William of Levittown, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Saturday from 1 a.m. to 2 p.m., in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 50 West Jefferson St., Uniontown. A Mass of Christian burial follows at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as celebrant. Interment follows in Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the STEPHEN F. KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., Uniontown, Pa.
