Brunton-Sakala
Robin Tracy Sakala of Charlottesville, Va., and Dr. Lance Michael Brunton were united in marriage on May 31 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa. The Rev. Timothy McConville officiated the nuptial ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Dan Sakala of Fox Drive, Evans City, and Becky Spinella of Second Avenue, Tarentum. Parents of the bridegroom are Sandy and Michael Brunton of 245 Center Ave., Uniontown.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless dress. A tiara held a cathedral-length veil of illusion.
Heather Sakala was maid of honor.
Best man was Dr. Christopher Cutie. Groomsmen were Jon Kaye and Marshall Kuremsky.
Other attendants were Dannielle Heinrichs, Denise Saylor and Kimberly Saylor.
A reception was also held in the grand ballroom at Nemacolin Woodlands Lodge.
The bride is a graduate of Burrell High School, 1996, and in 2000 from Edinboro University with a bachelor of arts degree. She is currently studying toward a master’s degree in reading education. She is employed as a sixth-grade special education teacher with the Louisa County Middle School.
The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree. He graduated this year with a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
The couple resides at 1220 Knights Bridge Court, Charlottesville, Va.
