George A. Milcheck

George A. Milcheck, 77, of Brownsville, Pa., died Friday, July 18, 2003 in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. Born December 7, 1925 in Brownsville, Pa., he was the son of Paul Milcheck and Theresa Rohal Milcheck.

He was a Veteran of World War II who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

George retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad and also Wetterau Inc.,

He was a member of the American Legion and Center-in-the-Woods both in California, Pa.

His wife, Elizabeth Majercik Milcheck, and parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by three children: Jan Milcheck, Brownsville, Pa., George Milcheck II, Coal Center, Pa., and Joan Milcheck Moore, Holbrook, Pa.; granddaughters: Ashley Milcheck, Renee Milcheck, Megan Moore, Chelsea Moore; brother, Paul Milcheck; and sisters; Margaret Milcheck Tatrai, Elizabeth Milcheck Gombos and Ethel Milcheck Iacconi.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday, July 22, until 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Mark Skertich officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
