Phillip T. Pontoriero
Phillip T. Pontoriero, 72, of Sutersville, Pa., died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born May 21, 1931 in Greensboro, Pa., a son of the late Joseph Pontoriero and Anna Rebbontti Pontoriero.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Fort Pitt Steel Casting in McKeesport. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Sutersville. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the LOOM 1358 Sutersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Margaret “Peggy” Tiziani Pontoriero; a brother Jacob Pontoniero and wife Mary of Smock; a sister Donna Zundel and husband Dennis of Greensburg; his mother-in-law Margaret Tiziani of Sutersville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY, JR. FUNERAL HOME, INC., West Newton, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m. when funeral services will be held in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Sutersville with the Rev. John A. Regoli as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township, Pa.
