Edward C. Higbee

Edward C. “Frosty” Higbee, age 67, of Dawson, Pa., died Friday, May 30, 2003 at 2:12 a.m. in Uniontown Hospital. He was born January 5, 1936 in Connellsville, Pa., son of the late Edward S. Higbee and Lola Detweiler Higbee.

Edward was a member of Bryan United Methodist Church, Old Time Fiddler’s Association, Dawson-Vanderbilt Lions Club, Dawson Volunteer Fire Department, and Operating Engineers Local 66.

Edward was owner of Higbee Construction and also Higbee Music.

He was also past Supervisor of Lower Tyrone Township.

Edward was the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Amusement Ride Inspector.

He was in the United States Army Reserves.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha “Marti” Williams Higbee; three sons: Edward Ross Higbee and wife Michelle, Charles Brian Higbee and wife Janis, and Christopher S. Higbee all of Lower Tyrone Township, Fayette County, Pa.; and three grandchildren: Charles Benjamin Higbee, Jacquelyn Lenee Higbee, and Dylan Ross Higbee.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Keith H. McIlwain officiating and Pastor Randy Costolo co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Bryan Cemetery, Lower Tyrone Township.

Dawson Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Service in the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.
