Lawrence P. Boyd Jr.
Lawrence P. Boyd Jr., age 53, of Uniontown, Pa., died unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2003. He was born on March 17, 1950 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Andrina Porreca Boyd of Uniontown, Pa., and the late Lawrence P. Boyd Sr.
“Larry” was a 1968 graduate of Uniontown High School, Vietnam Veteran who served with the United States Air Force, and member of V. F. W. Post 47 and American Legion Post 51 both in Uniontown.
He had worked as a Foreman for E. W. Bowman Company and also Fruehauf both in Uniontown.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother, Adrian Boyd of Rochester, New York; three children: Shannon Boyd of Connellsville, Pa., Lauri Boyd Upole of Fairchance, Pa., and Lawrence P. Boyd III of Iowa; five grandchildren: Tasha Keene, Kristien Keene, Megan Keene, Hunter Upole and Jeffrey Upole; two uncles: Pete P. Porreca and his wife, Leona, of Uniontown and Renato Porreca of New Salem, Pa.; and many cousins including a special cousin and friend, Paula Porreca.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 4, until 10 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded by Uniontown V. F. W. Post 47.
