Margaret “Peggy” Rebecca Heckman Parker
Margaret “Peggy” Rebecca Heckman Parker, 92, of Jefferson, Pa, died Sunday, June 1, 2003 in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, Pa. She was an elementary music supervisor in Jefferson-Morgan School District for many years.
Mrs. Parker was a member of the National Education Association, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, Greene County Retired Teachers Association, the University Women, the Democratic Women and was the organist and choir director at Jefferson United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
In 1938 she married Benjamin L. Parker, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Geswaldo of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. and Mrs. Ronald (Jean) Kratzer of Saxonburg; two granddaughters Mrs. Joseph (Pamela) Tamblyn and Mrs. Thomas (Gretchen) Hill, both of Butler; two great grandsons, Alexander Hill and Trevor Hill, both of Butler and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 10 a.m.
