Loma Virginia Rist Lonsinger
Loma Virginia Rist Lonsinger, 93, of Whitehall, Pittsburgh, Pa., died Sunday, June 1, 2003 in Whitehall Manor.
She was born November 6, 1909 in Edenborn, Pa., daughter of the late John Rist and Estella Reagan Rist.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles William Lonsinger, a son James Lonsinger, five sisters and three brothers.
Loma was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Uniontown.
She was formerly employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Uniontown Hospital.
Surviving are her eight children; Wilbur Lonsinger and wife Sylvia of Fairchance, Pa., Estella Sue Stickle and husband Bill of Sterling Heights, MI., Phyllis Tanner and husband Vernon of Decatur, Ga., Ann Torchio of Summerville, S.C., Barry Lonsinger and wife Jean of Ashland, Ohio, Danny Lonsinger and wife Roberta of Logansport, IN., Michael Lonsinger and wife Linda of Fairmont, W.Va. and Douglas Lonsinger of Whitehall, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Lonsinger of Sharpsburg, Pa.; 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 2 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Fayette and Morgantown Streets, Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Orsted officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
