June 8, 2003 Rally set for today
The Westmoreland County Camp Cadet Association will hold its second annual motorcycle rally today.
The rally, which is the primary fund-raising event for the Camp Cadet program, will begin at the Westmoreland County Community College at noon, with a blessing of the bikes. The rally will proceed in parade fashion along Route 119 into Greensburg. From Greensburg, it will continue east along Route 30 to the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. At the airport, there will be food, live entertainment, a bike show and a low-speed riding demonstration by the Shriners. The rally is sponsored in part by the Latrobe Hog (Harley Owners Group) chapter and Z&M Cycles Sales of Latrobe.
Interested riders should report to the college parking lot prior to noon.
Camp to begin
Beginning Monday, the Uniontown Area YMCA will begin its Summer Day Camp, open to anyone 4 to 12 years old. Groups are formed according to the age of the individuals.
Camp begins every morning at 8 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. Children may arrive at the YMCA for camp as early as 7:30 a.m. and be picked up as late as 5:30 p.m.
Full-week registrants may sign up at any time, but partial-week campers may not sign up until the Thursday before the week for which they are registering.
Fees for a week of camp are $55 for YMCA members and $75 for non-members. The fee includes breakfast and lunch for each camper.

Lunches offered
The Frazier School District is eligible for the summer food service program and will offer all children free lunches during the summer vacation from school. All children are eligible to eat free lunches, regardless of income.
The program will begin Monday and continue through Friday, Aug. 22, at the Frazier High School cafeteria. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Also, lunches will be served to students at the following restricted open sites: New Directions, from 11 a.m. to noon; Grindstone social hall, from noon to 1 p.m.; and Newell United Methodist Church social hall, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. All sites will be closed July 4.
At the restricted open sites, the meals are limited; therefore, the regular program kids will be served first. Those who want to be guaranteed a meal should use the open site at the high school cafeteria.
Adults may purchase lunches for $2.25. No lunches will be taken from the locations.
All children have equal access to the benefits of the summer food service program, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
