Genevra “Skip”M. Mattey Vomish

Genevra “Skip” M. Mattey Vomish, 70, of Ruffsdale, Pa., an avid gardener who enjoyed planting flowers at her home, was also known for her talent in oil paintings, and was born in Carbon, Pa., died Friday afternoon, June 20, 2003 in Scottdale Manor and Rehabilitation Center, Scottdale, Pa. On October 1, 1961, she married George W. Vomish, who survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, George C. and Patricia Vomish of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; grandchildren: twins Christopher Vomish and Tyler Vomish, Michael Vomish, Raymond R. Alakson and Pamela Alakson; sisters: Patricia Mattey Rabold and husband, Edward Rabold, of Front Royal, Virginia, and Janet Mattey Watson of Volant, Pa; five nieces and nephews.

Family will receive Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc. 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, June 23, until the Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m.
