Jay Brey
Jay Brey, age 86, of Curtisville, Pa., died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 8:15 a.m. in St. Margaret Hospital, Aspinwall, Pa. He was born September 10, 1916 in Bairdford, PA 15006, son of John W. Brey and Elizabeth Goodwin Brey.
Prior to moving to Curtisville 25 years ago, Jay was a resident of Cleveland, Ohio.
He retired in 1978 from Republic Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio where he had worked 36 years.
Jay was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown, Pa., completed 12 years of education, and served in the Armed Forces during World War II.
A brother, George D. Brey, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by two brothers: John D. Brey, Harmony, Pa., and Robert E. Brey and his wife, Loretta, of Natrona Heights, Pa.; sister-in-law, Betty O’Hern Brey, Uniontown, Pa.; and three nieces: Betsy Nulman, Amherst, New Hampshire, Susan Nairn, Uniontown, Pa., and Mary Jane Brey, North Huntingdon, Pa.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be private.
