Anna Opar Zitney
Anna Opar Zitney, age 88, of Oliver One, Pa., died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in her residence with her loving daughter and son-in-law at her bedside. She was born January 14, 1915 in East Millsboro, Pa., daughter of Nick Opar and Anna Pisko Opar.
Anna loved working in her flower garden. Her favorite flower was the rose and she made sure that she had plenty of beautiful roses blooming in the spring.
She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew W. Zitney on April 2, 1985, three brothers, Paul Opar, John Opar, Michael “Moe” Opar, two sisters, Mildred Opar and Catherine Opar Giammona, and parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Petrey and son-in-law, Paul Petrey, of Oliver One; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Hynek and Helen Bashinsky and her husband, Ed, all of Uniontown, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, June 27, until 10 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
