Grover A. Engle
Grover A. “Husky” Engle, 79, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, June 23, 2003 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born July 25, 1923 in Point Marion, Pa., son of Oscar L. Engle and Nellie Fox Engle.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Uniontown, Pa., Fayette Seniors Golf League, V. F. W. Post 47, and Uniontown Senior High School Class of 1941.
During World War II, he served with the 9th Air Force in Europe.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar L. “Buck” Engle and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Russo Engle; three children: Marilyn Paulo and husband, Nick, of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Lou Engle and husband, Thomas Probst, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Grover P. Engle and wife, Denise, of Chalk Hill, Pa.; three grandchildren: Bryan Paulo, Gary Paulo and Brittany Engle; four sisters: Vienna Staub of Pittsburgh, Pa., Martha McNatt, Elmira Shenal and Roberta Bierer all of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 71 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, on Friday, June 27, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul N. Frank Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation was also held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
