Charlaine Bixler Kurth
Charlaine (nee Bixler) Kurth of Prentice, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 in Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips, Wisconsin, at the age of 59. She was born on December 20, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles Bixler and Margaret (nee Runner) Bixler.
She spent her early life and schooling in Pennsylvania, graduated from the former South Union High School, Class of 1962, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and also graduated from the former Uniontown Beauty Academy.
She was the owner and operator of Prime Cut II Beauty Salon in Phillips, Wisconsin, until the time of her retirement.
Two stepchildren, Carol Kurth and Bob Kurth, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Kurth; one daughter, Sunday and her husband, Mitch Retzlaff, and one son, Charles E. Erdmann, all of Prentice, Wisconsin; seven step children: 14 grandchildren; and two sisters: Carolyn Jacobs and her daughter, Melanie Bigalow, and her daughter, Sarah, and Claudia Chisler and her husband, Darrell, and their children, Heather, Darrell and Cameron.
The Funeral Service was held at the HEINDL FUNERAL HOME, 304 North Avon Avenue, Phillips, WI 54555 on Friday, June 27.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, with Inurnment in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
