Charles Edward “Mike” Murray Sr.
Charles Edward “Mike” Murray Sr., 71, of Arthur Avenue, Scottdale, Pa., who was born in McClellandtown, Fayette County, Pa., retired Crane Operator with 371/2 years service from United States Steel Corporation’s Irvin Works in West Mifflin, Pa., died Saturday morning, March 1, 2003 in H. C. Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fern Marie Shallenberger Murray; children: Charles E. “Mike” Murray Jr. and wife, Frances, of Wilmington, Delaware, Karen Marie Forsyth of Monroeville, Pa., and her fiancÇ, Matthew Pavlovich, and Gerald “Jan” Murray and wife, Laurie, of Wilmington, Delaware; grandchildren: Charles “Mike” Murray III, Bethany Murray, Caitlin Murray, Jennifer Forsyth, Meghan Murray and Benjamin Murray; one great granddaughter; and a sister, Kathleen Murray Robbins of Florida.
Family and Friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from Noon to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Viewing continues Monday, March 3, in Scottdale Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until the Service at 12 Noon.
