Burglary investigated

State police in Uniontown said someone removed a DVD/VCR player and DVDs from the residence of Judy Ann Sparks of Hopwood early Friday morning.

Driver injured

Jason Eugene Stull, 19, of Masontown, and the driver of a 1995 Plymouth, was transported to Uniontown Hospital with minor injuries, following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Mount Vernon and Dixon Boulevard Thursday about 6 p.m., state police in Uniontown said. Representatives for Uniontown Hospital had no report on Stull’s condition Saturday night. Paul Godfrey Zooner Jr., 25, of Uniontown, was the operator of the other vehicle, a 1987 Chevrolet. Zooner’s passengers included Samantha L. Zooner, 24; Brandon M. Zooner, six months; Heather L. Zooner, 5; Jessica M. Zooner, 5; and Paul G. Zooner, 3. German Twp. Dealer investigated State police in Uniontown have charged Olympic Auto Sales, Route 21, German Township, and its owner, Stephanie Marie Unger, 27, of McClellandtown, with five counts of violating the Pennsylvania Board of Vehicles Act, including failing to pay over fees and taxes to the commonwealth, misrepresentation of material facts on official documents, unprofessional conduct/incompetency, and employing an unlicensed sales person. They were also charged with violating the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, including two counts for re-issuance of temporary registration without authorization from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and two counts for late submission of title and registration work. In addition, the investigating officer, Brian Shuba, vehicle fraud investigator, charged Ronald Joseph Unger, 26, of McClellandtown, and Donald Lee Snyder, 31, of McClellandtown, for selling vehicles without possessing a license to do so. Shuba’s report said he had conducted multiple investigations on Olympic Auto Sales over the past six months as a result of numerous complaints from the general public. Victims were listed as numerous area residents in Fayette and Greene counties. The officer released his report on Friday.

Hit-and-run reported

A blue, four-door Cavalier with a missing front bumper sideswiped a vehicle driven by Mary J. Grim of Mount Morris Thursday at 12:35 p.m. while both vehicles were driving east on Route 21 in German Township, state police in Uniontown said. The driver of the Cavalier fled the scene. Grim wore her seatbelt and was uninjured. No damage estimate was available. Anyone with information is asked to phone Pennsylvania State Police at Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Property stolen

Someone entered a vehicle owned by Judith A. Franks, 45, of Uniontown Monday between 3:30 and 4 p.m. while it was parked at Agway parking lot, state police in Uniontown said. They removed a 7-inch diamond bracelet and a black leather CD case with various CDs.

Man arrested

State police said Albert Ray Daughtery, 22, of Uniontown was arrested and arraigned before District Justice Michael Defino Wednesday at 1:53 p.m. He allegedly struck Margaret G. Carr, 29, of Uniontown multiple times about the head and arms. The victim was transported to Uniontown Hospital due to injuries sustained in the assault.

Greene County Roving patrol report

The Greene County DUI Task Force conducted a roving patrol operation on Friday throughout Greene County. A total of 54 vehicles were contacted during the operation. There were no DUI arrests. Nine traffic citations and one non-traffic citation were issued during the operation. There were three field sobriety tests and three preliminary breath tests administered to motorists, with all passing the tests administered. There were also 22 seat belt warnings and 18 written warnings for equipment violations and for not having proper driver’s identification.

Car damaged

Kevin J. Balko, 16, of West Newton was uninjured, but his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier received moderate damage Friday at 10:45 p.m. when Balko lost control of his car while negotiating a left turn along Route 981, state police in Belle Vernon said. The car left the roadway and struck a 1981 Opal Manta automobile. Smithton Borough Police assisted.

Accident investigated

State police in Belle Vernon investigated a two-vehicle accident along Route 51 Friday about 5 p.m. The drivers included John R. Diperna Jr., 41, of Herminie and Timothy McCahill, 28, of Uniontown. Passengers in the Diperna vehicle included John Bunda, 19, of North Huntingdon, John Miller, 29; and Jessica Maygar, 18, of Ford City. James McCahill, 58, of Perryopolis was a passenger in the McCahill vehicle. Diperna’s 1993 Eagle and McCahill’s 2002 Ford both received severe damage. State police said all were using seatbelts and all refused medical treatment at the scene.

Building damaged

Someone broke a window and damaged the aluminum siding on the Smock Community Building sometime Friday, state police in Belle Vernon reported.

Vehicles, tools stolen

State police in Belle Vernon reported that someone stole a 1988 Ford Bronco II, black with red interior, and a 1986 Pontiac 6000 sedan, black with gray interior, as well as a tool box with miscellaneous tools and a battery jump pack from the business office of Stants Auto Wrecking. The victim is David Stants, 44, of Ruffsdale.

Vehicle damaged

State police in Belle Vernon reported that someone broke into a 1996 Plymouth Neon and attempted to remove the vehicle’s radiator from Grazetti Sales. The victim is Robert Grazetti, 33, of Ruffsdale. Uniontown Public drunkenness Police cited Jane E. Wilson, 64, of 112 E. Main St., Thursday for public drunkenness after they found her lying on the sidewalk in front of the Fayette County Courthouse.

Two-vehicle accident

City police said a state police cruiser was involved in a two-vehicle accident Thursday on South Mount Vernon Avenue at 2:53 p.m. According to police, Beth Ann Leonard and a passenger in her vehicle were taken to Uniontown Hospital by ambulance for treatment. Police said Trooper Gerald Furajter II drove the police cruiser. He was not injured. City police said the state police are investigating the accident.

Assault

Michael Sarver, no address given, told city police that someone assaulted his son Thursday on a Ben Franklin school bus. Police said the information was turned over to school police.

Injuries reported

State police reported minor to serious injuries caused from a vehicle accident on Interstate 79 at 7:46 p.m. Friday. The accident occurred when operator Eric Heitzenrater, who suffered from minor injuries, swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, causing the 2001 Oldsmobile van to hit the median and roll. Passengers Bonnie Heitzenrater, who suffered moderate injuries, and a 7-month-old baby, who suffered from serious injuries, were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment, state police said. All three were from Fombell.

State police said Paolo Verna of Bobtown was not injured when his 1997 Dodge traveled off Bobtown Hill Road into a snow-covered ditch at 4:40 p.m., Wednesday. Verna’s vehicle was disabled when he struck a rock embankment as he tried to drive out of the ditch, police said.

Woman cited

Tara Lashelle Hall, 21, of Waynesburg was cited for public drunkenness Friday after she was allegedly seen running through Morrisville, hiding behind various buildings and objects.

State police said an unknown type of vehicle reportedly drove off from Jacobs Petroleum in Waynesburg without paying for $15.01 in gasoline at 4:35 p.m. Thursday.

Hit-and-run probed

Jodi Sealy, 40, of Spraggs was not injured when a female operating a blue minivan collided with Sealy’s 1999 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee while traveling on Shriver Hill Road around 5:30 p.m., Friday, state police said.

Man charged

Buddy Allen Walters, 29, of Jefferson was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment after allegedly yelling and threatening to harm two Jefferson women at 1:35 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

Charges filed

Charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment were filed against Brett William Kronk, 37, of Waynesburg after he allegedly struck 37-year-old Diane Lee Kronk of Carmichaels in the face at 6:53 p.m., Friday, state police said.

Charles Ray Waychoff, 24, of Plant City, Fla., and Milford J. Watters, 55, of Mount Morris were not injured when their vehicles collided on Big Shannon Road at 10:35 a.m. Monday.

Mary Ann Scott, 42, of 11 W. Askren St. was charged with harassment Saturday after allegedly shoving another woman, city police said.

City police received a report of several shots fired in the area of Markle Street around 1 a.m. Saturday. Police said males were seen running from the area where the shots were heard fired.

Tammy McKenzie of 11 Lenox St. told city police someone was knocking on her front door around 1:30 a.m., Saturday. Police checked the area with negative results.

Assault reported

City police said a Tuskeegee Terrace woman was assaulted by someone known to her around 2 a.m. Saturday. The woman was transported to Uniontown Hospital for treatment of her injuries. State police assisted at the scene.

Kara Zavatson of 158 Lenox St. told city police an unknown object damaged the windshield of her 1998 Honda Accord while parked in front of her residence around 2:22 a.m., Saturday. A possible suspect was identified to police.

Business door ajar

The northeast door of Little Red Riding Hood Cafe and Latte Express was found ajar, but the dead bolt locked when city police responded to the activation of the business alarm at 4:45 a.m., Saturday. The building was checked and secured, while no damage to door jam was observed, police said.

Colletta L. Weimer of 78 Lemon St. told city police someone known to her kicked in her door and then began to hit and choke her around 2:30 p.m., Friday. Police said they observed red marks on her neck.

City police said a West Church Street man will be cited for suspended license and expired and suspended vehicle registration after a South Mount Vernon Avenue traffic stop at 3:33 p.m., Friday.

City police served an outstanding driving under the influence of alcohol warrant for the arrest of Michael D. Delbridge, 30, of 48 W. Askren St., at 5:44 p.m., Friday. Upon a search of Delbridge, police said they confiscated 38 individually wrapped pieces of suspected crack cocaine, a pager, a cell phone and $683.
