NuRelm adds two, promotes one NuRelm E-Business Software of Uniontown has announced the addition of two new employees to its staff and the promotion of another.
Those hired include Brad Keller, business development executive and Joe Satovich, operations specialist. Adam Bujanowski was promoted to marketing manager.
CEO Sam Shaaban states, “NuRelm’s most valuable asset is the team we have assembled, and we are proud to have Joe, Brad and Adam on our team.”
Keller
of Pittsburgh, was hired as a business development executive. His duties include prospecting, lead generating, and exploring new vertical markets. Keller brings with him experience in multiple areas of business development including, cold calling, prospecting and closing techniques, in addition to a knowledge of information technology. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science in creative writing and business administration.
Satovich
of New Salem, was hired as operations specialist. His responsibilities include cultivating relationships with active and prospective NuRelm resellers, providing sales and customer support, network administration, and other technical issues. Satovich brings with him experience in multiple programming languages, network administration, computer software, and customer service. He graduated cum laude from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in information technology, computer science option.
Bujanowski
of Charleroi, was promoted to marketing manager. His responsibilities include implementing and overseeing all marketing and public relations campaigns, and gathering market research.
Bujanowski
brings with him experience in integrated marketing communications, strategic marketing, and business-to-business marketing. He graduated summa cum laude from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing concentration, and is currently working on his MBA at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. Bujanowski
is also a certified master of marketing strategy. He is a board member of the Pittsburgh American Marketing Association, board-member-at-large for the Pittsburgh International Association of Business Communicators, and servers on California University’s Career Services Advisory Board.
These staff members will further contribute to NuRelm’s ongoing expansion to markets beyond the Pittsburgh area. Staff will be added steadily as NuRelm continues its growth into a national company. Future plans are to hire a number of new employees within three years, including software developers, engineers, project managers, sales and marketing specialists, customer service representatives, a network administrator, and general office staff.

Anchor Glass, Sprint launch project
Sprint has announced a three-year communications services agreement with Anchor Glass Container Corp., one of the largest manufacturers of glass containers in the United States, to help connect Anchor Glass’ multiple locations across 10 states.
“We quickly realized Sprint’s value to us in our business,” said Mike Wilkins, vice president, information technology, Anchor Glass. “They had a thorough understanding of our needs, followed through on promises and provided candid clarification when suggesting solutions. This really made them stand out from the other options we considered. In terms of performance, the implementation of our managed frame relay network exceeded our expectations.”
Through the agreement, valued at more than $1.5 million, Sprint will deliver switched and dedicated voice services, a frame relay data network and enhanced and interactive toll-free services. Additionally, Sprint is providing a comprehensive, end-to-end managed network solution through Sprint’s remote management to allow Anchor Glass to focus on its core business by saving them time and money.

Anchor Glass is the third largest manufacturer of glass containers in the United States and employs 2,900 at 15 U.S. locations, including its plant in South Connellsville. It supplies glass containers to beverage and food producers and manufactures of consumer products worldwide. The company has been based in Tampa, Fla., since 1983.

Genealogy site honored
Minerd.com, a genealogy Web site of the Minerd-Miner-Minor family of Fayette County, has been named one of the nation’s “Top 10 Family Web sites.” The editors of Family Tree Magazine selected it after an exhaustive search. Writing in the April 2003 issue, the editors said that Minerd.com and the others were “selected by scouring the web until our eyes ached and our mouse-clicking fingers cramped.”
“Today’s Minerd-Miner-Minor kin will find an astonishing amount of their history here,” Crystal Conde, assistant editor, said. The Web site is online at www.minerd.com. It tracks the lives and contributions to society of more than 850 members of one extended Western Pennsylvania family, virtually all born before 1900, with roots in the state dating to 1791. The site’s encyclopedic biographies contain stories, memoirs and rare photographs of cousins ranging from pioneer settlers, Civil War soldiers and coal miners to physicians, business leaders and social servants. Last year, the site received more than 84,000 “hits,” and Miner fielded inquiries from more than 200 first-time visitors. Entrepreneur Mark A. Miner created Minerd.com in Beaver in May 2000. The site was praised last November by Florida’s St. Petersburg Times as a model for others to follow, saying the site is “informative, educational and interesting.” Last July, Minerd.com was chosen as “Best Site Pick” by the Golden Gate Genealogy Forum of Franklin, Mass. – one of only a few family-specific sites so honored since the award began in 1999. Golden Gate said the “depth of information provided is awesome, the citing of sources was excellent, [and] the graphics were effective…”
