Marguerite K. (Kuhns) Rumbaugh, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Thursday, February 27, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born November 14, 1923 in Phillips, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Walter R. Kuhns Sr. and Mattie Brownfield Kuhns.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Uniontown, graduated from Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania), and retired in 1985 from teaching business education at Uniontown Area Senior High School.

She was past President of the Uniontown College Club, and a member of Uniontown Chapter No. 263 Order of the Eastern Star and also the Pennsylvania State Educators Retirement System.

A brother, Walter R. Kuhns Jr., a sister, Mrs. Muriel K. Cullings, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Rumbaugh, to whom she was married for 52 years; two sons: Dr. Richard C. and Dr. Marsha Rumbaugh of Durham, North Carolina (son and daughter-in-law) and Katie and Maddie (granddaughters) and Mr. William D. and Kelly Rumbaugh of Westminster, Maryland (son and daughter-in-law) and Karli and Chelsea (granddaughters). Also surviving are Mr. Donald and Lois Bishop of Pittsburgh, Pa. (sister and brother-in-law), Mrs. Evelyn K. Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa. (sister), Mrs. Ruth Meyer of Pittsburgh, Pa. (sister), Mrs. Mary Kaye Yurechko of Hopwood, Pa. (beloved friend), and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where Friends will be received today from Noon to 2 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Monday, March 3, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James P. Fogg officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church Sunday School Program, 20 Dunbar Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
