Mildred Lehman Gibson
Mildred M. Lehman Gibson, age 89, of Oliver Three, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2003 while being cared for by Beverly HealthCare, Uniontown, Pa. She was born July 11, 1913 in Oliver Three, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of William Lehman and Margaret Hiles Lehman.
Mildred was a beloved and dedicated Mother to her four children, a loving Grandmother, and a faithful Wife!
She was a devoted Christian and served her community very faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher and church worker with the Oliver Three Mission Church. Her greatest concern was to serve God by being a Christian example to her Family and Friends.
Her oldest son, William “Billy” Gibson, four brothers, William “Buzz” Lehman, George Lehman, Robert “Jake” Lehman, Walter “Ike” Lehman, four sisters, Lillian Ralph, Carrie Fike, Pearl Nedley, Naomi June Peed, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William Earl Gibson; three children: Dorothy Davis and husband, Ira “Wimp” of Oliver Three, Dr. Kenneth Ray Gibson and wife, Wanda, of York, Pa., and Verna Martin and husband, Nathan, of Oliver Three; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues in Oliver Three Mission Church on Tuesday, March 4, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Mildred’s son, Pastor Kenneth Ray Gibson, officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
