Richard V. Layhew Sr.
Richard V. Layhew Sr., age 57, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born December 22, 1945 in Jamaica, New York, the son of Charles Adams of Mendon, Michigan and the late Jesse Layhew Adams.
He was self employed as a Wrecking and Towing Service Operator.
In addition to his father he is survived by a son, Richard V. Layhew Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and two grandchildren: Elizabeth Layhew and Benjamin Layhew.
Friends will be received at the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 3, when a Blessing Service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel officiating.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
