Ronald D. Harrison Sr., 56, lovingly known as “Globe”, of Washington, D.C., and formerly of Royal, Fayette County, Pa., died Tuesday, February 24, 2003 in his residence. He was born December 28, 1947, in Chestnut Ridge (Royal), Pa., son of Luther and Lena Harrison.

He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Smock, Pa., graduate of the former Redstone High School Class of 1967, a Vietnam War Veteran, and former member of The Arch of Safety Church in Washington, D.C.

Surviving are his wife, June Harrison; three children: Tiffany, Ronette and Ronald Harrison Jr. all of Monessen, Pa.; two stepchildren: Keri and Mikey; 12 grandchildren; two best friends, Maurice Lewis and James Perry; sisters and brothers: Patricia A. Byrd-Smith and husband, Willie Smith, of Chestnut Ridge, Pa., James A. Harvey Jr. of Monessen, Pa., the Rev. Cynthia Hackett and husband, Carlos, of Hiller, Pa., Gary E. Harrison and wife, Susan, of Fairborn, Ohio, and Nuwanna L. Davis and husband, Gary, of Clairton, Pa.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends; and his dog, Soloman.

Friends will be received at the POPE FUNERAL HOMES, 5538 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, Maryland 20747 (301-568-4100) on Tuesday, March 4, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Services will begin at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Quantico Veterans Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia.
