Thomas G. “Pap” Brozik Jr., 85, of Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, February 27, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born April 6, 1917 in New Salem, Pa., son of Thomas G. Brozik Sr. and Helen Brenchko Brozik. Thomas was a Coal Miner for 38 years with Shannopin Mining Company, Bobtown, Pa., until his retirement. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6159.

He was also an avid Gardener, Canner, Woodworker, Cook and a very generous person!

His parents, wife, Lurranna J. “Lorry” Clark Brozik, son, Samuel W. Brozik, and two brothers, Max Brozik and Gene Brozik, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his beloved children: Thomas T. Brozik and wife Rojean, Uniontown, Pa., Bonnie Hospodavis and husband Stephen, Cumberland, Maryland, Phillip C. Brozik, Smithfield, Pa., and Terry Brozik and Carolyn of Smithfield, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Gabler, Bobtown, Pa.; two brothers: James Brozik, Bobtown, Pa., and Frank Brozik, Mount Morris, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive Friends at the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 7 p.m. and on Monday, March 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.

Interment will follow in Masontown Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
