Anne Olshock Cleaver
Anne Olshock Cleaver, 84, of Richeyville (Daisytown), Pa., died at 12:12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 in her home after a long illness.
She was born July 17, 1918 in Deemston Boro, Washington County, Pa., daughter of John M. and Anne Franks Olshock.
Anne was a 1936 graduate of the former East Beth High School. She received her undergraduate degree from California Normal School (now California University of Pennsylvania) and her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa.
She was a first grade teacher at Somerset School of the Bentworth School District for 371/2 years and retired in 1976.
Mrs. Cleaver was a member of Beallsville United Methodist Church, Washington County Retired Teachers Association, Deemston Grange, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, and the Pennsylvania State Education Association Retired (P.S.E.A.R.).
On July 27, 1948 she married John D. Cleaver, who survives. Together they owned and operated the Cleaver Green House in Richeyville for over 45 years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a brother, John Olshock of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two nephews: John Olshock of Washington, Pa., and Richard Olshock of Denver, Colorado; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Friends will be received in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a brief service will be held at on Friday, March 7, at 12:30 p.m.
Funeral Services follow at 1 p.m. in Beallsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Gregg officiating.
Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 610 Park Avenue, Monongahela, PA 15063.
Visitation was also held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
