Doris Hixson Adams
Doris J. Hixson Adams, 80, of East Huntingdon Township, Mount Pleasant R.D. 3, Pa., retired Cafeteria Aide from Southmoreland School District, who was born in Scottdale, Pa., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James W. Adams, whom she married April 24, 1940; daughters: Sharon J. Adams Solomon and husband, Keith Solomon, of Alverton, Pa., Carol A. Adams Loucks and husband, James K. Loucks, of Scottdale, Debbie S. Adams Pappaterri and husband, Robert Pappaterri, of Irwin, Pa., Trudy L. Adams Olsen and husband, Scot Olsen, of Tarrs, Pa.; grandchildren: Jon Scott Solomon, James Drew Solomon, Tammy Loucks, Tim Loucks, Jason Snyder, Nathan Snyder, Tyler Olsen, B. J. Olsen; seven great grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Hixson Pletcher and husband, Robert Pletcher, of Scottdale, Pa., and Bonnie Hixson Cunningham of Ruffsdale, Pa.; and her pet border collie, Tippy.
Friends will be received in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. , Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 8, until the Service at 11 a.m.
