Edward F. Bailey
Edward F. Bailey, 88, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at 5 p.m. in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born August 18, 1914 in Oliver, Fayette County, Pa., son of John Bailey and Anna Ridella Bailey.
Edward was a retired Maintenance Foreman from United States Steel Corporation’s Robena Mine and a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels, Pa.
On August 20, 1941 he married Pearl DeNardo Bailey, who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Nadine Bailey Woods and husband, Richard Woods, of Ligonier, Pa., Daniel Bailey and wife, Betsy, of Carmichaels, Pa., and Douglas Bailey of Greensburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; three brothers: Vincent Bailey, Masontown, Pa., Harry Bailey, Palmer, Pa., and Robert Bailey, Mentor, Ohio; and two sisters: Ann Carrick, Palmer, Pa., and Evelyn Boyle, Masontown, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, John, Theodore, Leroy and Leonard Bailey.
Visitation will be private.
Friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial this Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels, with Rev. Fr. John Bauer as Celebrant.
