Virginia B. (Bomm) Sangston
Virginia B. (Bomm) Sangston, 97, of Uniontown, Pa, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2003 in her home. She was born August 23, 1905 in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the Prosper Xavier Bomm and Margarette Davidson Bomm.
She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church and a member of the choir for many years.
She was also a member of the Uniontown Garden Club, Ki Omega, and the Uniontown College Club.
Her husband, Dr. Russell Sangston, died in 1966. Also deceased are her parents and a daughter, Barbara Sangston Truman.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hindle of Glasgow, Scotland; Grandsons: Harry J. Truman III and Russell David Truman; Great Grandchildren: Clara Margaret Truman, Rebecca Joyce Truman, Jack Owen Truman and Russell David Truman Jr.; and cousin, Bob Davidson of Syracuse, New York.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where Friends will be received Friday, March 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Dr. John K. Sharp officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7829 National Pike, Uniontown PA 15401.
