Rita V. Shipe Bierbower
Rita V. Shipe Bierbower, 90, of Waverly Gables Boulevard, Waverly, Ohio, died Saturday, March 1, 2003 in Barbara DeWitt’s Old Town Friendly Rest in Frankfort, Ohio. She was born March 27, 1912 in Dela Plane, Virginia to Benjamin H. Shipe and Virgie Pearson Shipe.
Rita was united in marriage on December 1, 1938 to Guy J. Bierbower.
Mrs. Bierbower was a former member of Allison Christian Church until she moved to Waverly, Ohio. She then joined Waverly Grace United Church.
Her husband died January 10, 1999. Also deceased are her parents.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda S. and husband, Charles Alexander, of Frankfort, Ohio; a granddaughter, Jenifer and her husband, Geoffay Wiswell, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers: Benjamin Shipe of Carmichaels, Pa., and James E. Shipe of Allison, Pa.; and a sister, Winifred Shipe of Isabella, Pa.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 4, in the BOTKIN FUNERAL HOME.
Burial followed in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
