West Overton to host lecture
SCOTTDALE – West Overton Museums in Scottdale announces the third winter “Parlor Talk” lecture series will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in the distillery theater. This third lecture is entitled “18th and 19th Century Pottery” with Phil Schaltenbrand. Westerwald Pottery is the brainchild of Phil Schaltenbrad, author, historian, professor and potter extraordinaire. His studios are located along historic Route 40, where pottery is made the “old-fashioned way.” The lecture is free and includes a question-and-answer session followed by light refreshments.
