Police seek home invasion, rape suspect
State police in Uniontown are asking for help in identifying a home invasion suspect who early Saturday broke into a Henry Clay Township woman’s home and raped her. The suspect is described as a white man, between 18 and 25 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11, and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He was described as having a slight, slender build.
At 4 a.m. Saturday, the man broke into the Dark Hollow Road home of a 58-year-old woman, while she was asleep. Loud bang noises woke her.
After turning on the outside lights, she walked into her living room where she saw that the man had smashed his way through the side door windows.
After this quick observation, the woman saw the man walking toward her. He then took her into the bedroom, where he raped her, state police said.
The suspect was wearing a light, long-sleeve T-shirt with an insignia across the chest. Police suspect that he drove away in a small, compact car with loud exhaust pipes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact trooper John F. Marshall at the Uniontown barracks, 724-439-7111. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for tips on the incident that lead to the man’s arrest.
