Clark D. Henshaw
Clark D. Henshaw, 85, of Merrittstown, Pa., died Saturday, March 8, 2003 in Brownsville General Hospital.
He was born December 24, 1917 in Merrittstown, Pa., son of Porter Henshaw and Blanche Krepps Henshaw.
Clark was a faithful member of Hopewell United Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, where he served as Elder and Trustee, a member of the Hopeful Welldoers at Hopewell United Presbyterian Church, and the designated Church Greeter.
He graduated in 1936 from the former Redstone High School.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army as an Army Ordnance Man.
Clark was a former Explosives Distributor for the DuPont Corporation and a retired employee of the Fayette County Housing Authority.
He was a member of Franklin Grange No. 1169 and a former member of American Legion Post 705 in Centerville, Pa.
An infant son, Bruce Henshaw, a brother, James Henshaw, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Winifred Roadman Henshaw; a son, Clark D. Henshaw Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; a daughter, Janet Adamovich and her husband, Dick, of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Scott Henshaw, Alan Henshaw, Jamie Henshaw, and Elliott Adamovich; a sister, Helen Harshman of Fredericktown, Pa.; a brother, Howard Henshaw of Brownsville, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues in Hopewell United Presbyterian Church, Hopewell Road, Brownsville, Pa., on Tuesday, March 11, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will then be held with his Pastor, Rev. Gail E. Mason, officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
