Samuel W. Welling
Samuel W. Welling, age 43, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Friday, March 7, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born July 16, 1959 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Elmer Welling Jr. and Edith Frazee Welling of Lake Lynn, Pa.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Welling.
Mr. Welling was a member of Union Chapel Church where he taught Sunday School Class.
He was employed as a Case Worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare and was a Scout Leader for Pack No. 691.
Surviving are his loving wife, Cheryl Wolfe Welling; a son, Samuel W. Welling Jr. at home; a brother, Harry Welling of Smithfield, Pa.; a sister, Marge Baker of Uniontown, Pa.; and two nieces: Amber Welling of Connellsville, Pa., and Whitley Baker of Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be in Union Chapel Church on Tuesday, March 11, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor David Herring and Rev. Ricardo Alicastro officiating.
Interment will be in Thomas Cemetery, Markleysburg, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Chapel Church, Markleysburg, PA 15459.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
