Velma M. Kasik Pasquale, age 77, of Tower Hill 1, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003 at her residence. She was born October 30, 1925 in Calumet, Pa., daughter of Joseph and Anna Bosko Kasik.

Velma was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Republic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Pasquale Sr. in 1997, brothers, Andrew Kasik and Joseph Kasik, and parents.

Surviving are two daughters: Eileen Pierce of California, Pa., and Velma Samms and her husband, Donnie, of Tower Hill 1, Pa.; a son, Anthony Pasquale Jr. of Republic, Pa.; special granddaughter whom she raised, Annie Pierce, at home; eight other loving grandchildren: Ashley, Maria, Andrea, Justin, Aaron, Van, Claire, and Paul; three great grandchildren: Alex, Jonathan and Ashley; and three sisters: Julia Pantley of Waterbury, Connecticut, Josephine Kaplan of Brooklyn, New York, and Helen Gondek of Allison, Pa.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 11, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Brownsville.

A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 3:30 p.m.
