Frank B. Krizner
Frank B. Krizner, 84, a lifelong resident of Brownfield, Pa., died on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at his home.
He was born on October 28, 1918 in Brownfield, Pa., a son of Andrew G. and Mary (Kikta) Krizner.
Frank was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance, Pa., and was a Charter Member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club, Hopwood, Pa.
He retired from United States Steel Corporation’s Robena Mine where he was a Coal Miner and General Maintenance Foreman for 42 years.
Frank was a collector of antique cars and a historian and collector of mining equipment and artifacts.
He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle whose sense of humor and wit will be remembered always!
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Anna Zdura, Margaret Penksa, Helen McKittrick and Eleanor Kurek, and three brothers, John, Andrew and Robert Krizner.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Virginia A. (Pritt) Krizner; six children: Mary Elizabeth Bell and husband, Jack, of Gilbertsville, Pa., Constance Miller and husband, Robert, of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, Judy Meadows and husband, Jerry, of Uniontown, Pa., Sherry Howell and husband, Ron, of Santa Clarita, California, Fran Krizner of Lititz, Pa., and Jamie Brower and husband, Arthur, of Uniontown, Pa.; five grandchildren: Richard A. Bell, Terri Lynn Voman and husband Gary, Jerry Meadows Jr. and wife Erin, Ian Krizner, and Lucas Krizner; a sister, Dolores Herrilko and husband, Richard, of Ohio; a brother, Lawrence Krizner and wife, Vivian, of Hopwood, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 12, until 9 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Morgantown Street, Fairchance, with Rev. Fr. David Nazimek as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home this afternoon.
