William R. Keffer

William R. Keffer, 82, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, March 9, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Phillips on June 13, 1920, son of the late John and Julia Moracca Keffer.

Mr. Keffer was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army, a member of VFW Post 47 and the United Mine Workers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Peshko on February 19, 1991; a brother John Keffer and a sister Roberta Dickerson.

He is survived by a son William Keffer Jr.; two daughters Donna Cooley and Jacquie Fritts, all of Uniontown; three grandchildren, Scott Keffer, Courtney Keffer and John Fritts and two brothers Wilbert Keffer of Cleveland, Ohio and Joseph Keffer.

Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m.,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday until 8:30 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph R.C. Church with Rev. Fr. William Kiel as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery where Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Post 8543 and the American Legion Post 51.

Parish Wake Service Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
