Man arrested
State police said they arrested Jason Smith, 28, of Waynesburg for simple assault around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday after he allegedly shoved Rebecca Smith, 26, of Waynesburg into a table, injuring Smith’s back.

Deer hit
State police said Dennis Green, 53, of Uniontown was not injured when his 2000 Ford Focus hit a deer along Route 21 at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday.

Mailbox smashed
According to state police at Waynesburg, a mailbox owned by Psychiatric Care Systems was smashed between 5:15 p.m. March 7 and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Hit and run
Allison Pemberton of Aleppo told state police that someone in a red vehicle sideswiped her 1991 Chrysler Convertible that was broken and parked along Interstate 79 between 5:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday.

Gasoline stolen
State police said someone stole 10 gallons of gasoline, worth $15, from 88 All Star Express, located on 202 W. George St., at 9:45 a.m. March 7.

Charges filed
Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated cases:
– Kristina Lynn McFadden, 19, of 304 E. Fairview Ave., for simple assault and harassment after she allegedly hit an unidentified man in the head with a cup on March 4. The man was treated for his injuries at Highlands Hospital.
– Scott Bean, 27, of Freeman Road, Greensburg, for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated along West Crawford Avenue on March 1.
– Michaelene Koontz, 23, of 26 Gibson Terrace, for disorderly conduct after she was allegedly found screaming obscenities outside her residence on March 2.
– Nicole Knopsnider, 23, of 60 Gibson Terrace, for public drunkenness after she was allegedly found intoxicated and creating a disturbance at Gibson Terrace on March 2.
– James D. Smith, 42, of 206 E. Crawford Ave., with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated along West Crawford Avenue on March 1.
– Elizabeth Porterfield, 27, of 320 Graff St., for public drunkenness after she was allegedly found intoxicated along South Arch Street on March 2.
