By Patty Shultz 1 min read

BULLSKIN TWP. – State police are continuing to investigate an early Thursday fire that claimed the life of a township man. Emergency personnel found Donald Skelton, 34, of 692 Breakneck Road lying in a hallway in his mobile home after they responded to the 2:38 a.m. blaze, according to police.

State police trooper John Marshall said the fire originated in the living room.

“There was nothing suspicious found in or around the residence at the time of the fire,” Marshall said.

Allegheny County Coroner Dr. Cyril H. Wecht was performing an autopsy Thursday.

No information as to the cause of death was available from Wecht’s office or the Fayette County coroner’s office.

Bullskin Township and Connellsville Township volunteer fire companies, along with Fayette EMS, responded to the scene.

The Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home of Connellsville is handling funeral arrangements for Skelton.

Details will be announced.
