Thomas E. Hanula
Thomas E. Hanula, age 66, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Sunday, March 9, 2003 in Mount Macrina Manor Hospice Unit, Uniontown. He was born March 27, 1936 in Mather, Pa., son of Tony and Helen Dulovec Hanula.
Mr. Hanula was a life member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, and former Trustee and life member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club.
He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the United States Marine Corps and was discharged as a Sergeant.
Mr. Hanula was former Business Agent of Labor Union Local 286.
He was also former Financial Secretary for United Mine Workers of America Mount Braddock Mine.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather as well as a friend to all who knew him. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
His beloved wife, Barbara “Dolly” Stefko Hanula, died November 27, 1975. Also deceased are his parents and a sister, Dorothy Hanula Connors.
Surviving are his beloved sons: Anthony J. Hanula and wife, Cindy, of Hopwood, Pa., and Thomas R. Hanula and wife, Sheila, of Arlington, Virginia; three grandchildren: Emily Hanula and Anthony Hanula both of Hopwood, Pa., and Mary Hanula of Arlington, Virginia; brothers and sisters: Robert Hanula and wife, Joann, of Peoria, Arizona, Richard Hanula and Carol Hanula both of Brownsville, Pa., and Joyce Hanula and her partner, Joan Warren of Silver Springs, Maryland.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
