Miralynn S. McClure
Miralynn S. McClure peacefully passed away Monday, March 10, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her daughters, Holly Peters and Betsy Peters, were at her side. Miralynn was born in Uniontown, Pa., on November 11, 1942.
As a graduate of Uniontown High School, Uniontown, Pa., and Endicott College in Massachusetts, she pursued a career in advertising with clients like Metzler’s Department Store and Hagan Ice Cream.
Her love for Fayette County lead her to be involved with the Fayette Heritage Program and The Bicentennial.
She was also a longtime member of the Uniontown Green Gardeners and Uniontown Art Club.
She eventually relocated to Daphne, Alabama, in 1990, where she published The Real Estate Book and primarily relocated to be closer to her parents, by whom she is survived, Margaret Steele and Ned L. McClure.
She is also survived by her brother, J. Cameron McClure and his wife, Marlene, of Washington, Pa.
In November 2002, Miralynn moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to live together with her daughters.
As per her request, there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, her daughters suggest donations to The American Heart Association or to your local Library.
