Uriah F. Porter Jr.
Uriah F. Porter Jr., 75, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away suddenly Sunday, March 16, 2003 in Brownsville General Hospital. He was born April 15, 1927 in Adah, Pa., son of Uriah F. Porter Sr. and Leona May Smith Porter.
A brother, Charles Porter, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Ferrence Dingle Porter; a daughter, Tammy Porter Bernot and her husband, Mike Bernot, of Brownsville, Pa.; stepchildren: Barbara Dingle Minskey and her husband, Tony Minskey, of Fredericktown, Pa., Cheryl Dingle of Uniontown, Pa., Linda Dingle Nielson and her husband, Allen Nielson, of Blacksburg, South Carolina, John Dingle of Canonsburg, Pa., and Thomas Dingle and his wife, Beverly, of Uniontown; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Winona Porter DeBord of Arensburg, Pa., Herbert Wayne Porter and his wife, Shirley, of Arizona, Samuel Graham Porter and his wife, Norma, of Texas, Roger Porter of California state and Aleta Porter Keating and her husband, Pete Keating, of Charleroi, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 19, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service.
Interment will follow in Acklin Cemetery, Hopewell Road, Brownsville, Pa.
