Car chase
State police said John Keldin Lee, 42, of Uniontown led police on a chase through Uniontown just after 10 a.m. Saturday. According to police, Lee was driving along Connellsville Street above the speed limit and he accelerated before the trooper could pull him over. Police pursued Lee onto Gallatin Avenue, Bailey Avenue and eventually onto Esther Street in Lemonwood Acres, where he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Lee was caught, arrested and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for a passenger in the vehicle during the pursuit. The passenger is described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, between 180 and 220 pounds with a bald or shaved head. The man was last seen running toward Laurel Highlands Senior High School wearing a black leather jacket and jeans. Anyone with information about the man should contact state police at 724-439-7111.

Teens threatened
State police said a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both from Smock, told state police at Uniontown that a 16-year-old Adah boy said he was going to his car to get a gun after the three were involved in an altercation Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. at the Smock playground. Police said the Adah boy never showed a weapon and drove away after opening his trunk. The vehicle was later searched and a gun was not found. No charges were filed in this incident, police said.

DUI arrest
State police said Veino Hopkins of Connellsville was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop March 9 along Route 119 northbound.

Hit-and-run probed
State police said an unknown driver struck a vehicle owned by Donna G. Reach of Fayette City while the vehicle was parked at the Fayette City United Methodist Church between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Radio stolen
Amy Papke told state police someone stole the stereo from her vehicle sometime on Wednesday while the vehicle was parked along East Street near the intersection with Birch Street.

Burglary
State police said someone broke into a garage at 1200 Connellsville Street between 12:30 and 8 a.m. Monday and stole all-terrain vehicles belonging to Barry Ray Hixson Jr., 26, of Lemont Furnace and William August McCombie, 29, of Uniontown.

Steven M. Bigam, 45, of Connellsville told state police someone took his all-terrain vehicle from a shed on his property sometime between 3:30 and 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

Disorderly conduct
State police said Jeffrey Carson of Connellsville was charged with disorderly conduct after police found him along Brown Street Sunday at 4:10 a.m. screaming loudly and causing a disturbance.

Man cited
State police said Samuel Lee Shipp, 42, of Gans was cited for disorderly conduct after he reportedly pointed a loaded BB gun at Robert LeRoy Snyder, 64, of Crystal during a verbal altercation Sunday at 3:40 p.m.

State police said Vicki L. Lint, 36, of Lemont Furnace and Debra L. Showman, 44, of Connellsville were involved in a physical altercation Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at 27 Third St. in Lemont Furnace.

Audrey Vansickle of Farmington told state police someone smashed the windshield of her vehicle between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. Sunday while the vehicle was parked outside her 3053 National Pike residence.
