By Josh Krysak 1 min read

During a brief session Wednesday, the Albert Gallatin School Board granted permission for the Masontown Power Plant Youth Center to use the old Masontown School gymnasium April 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a three-on-three basketball tournament. In addition, the board hired the following teachers: Cindy Fullem for the third-grade position at A.L. Wilson Elementary School; Stacey Peton for the fifth-grade position at D. Ferd Swaney Elementary School; and E.J. Markwood for the floating secretary position that was created just this year to combat secretary absences.

The board also accepted the retirement of guidance counselor William Fronzcek, effective at the end of the current school year.

Superintendent Walter Vicinelly thanked Fronzcek for his years of dedicated service to the district.
