FAYETTE COUNTY EXTENSION will hold an apple-pruning meeting Friday at 3 p.m. at the residence of Bob Simmons, Pearl Street, Brownsville, and at 4 p.m. at the Rich Filchock residence, Bull Run Road, Brownsville. Penn State Master Gardeners, William Bookshar and Kipling Jacobs, will demonstrate the proper pruning of an apple tree and taking of a Penn State soil sample. Public is invited to attend. ST. MARY CHURCH, Leckrone, will hold a Lenten fish dinner Friday from noon to 6 p.m. Take-out orders will also be available. There is free delivery for lunch meals.
