Betty Bernadette Masney, 79, of Ballwin, Mo., and formerly of Brownsville, Pa., died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in Missouri.

She is the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Gaydos Velky.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stanley J. Masney; her dear daughter, Evelyn and her husband, Richard Herman of Ballwin, Mo.; grandchildren, David and his wife, Ann Herman, Lisa and her husband, Scott Schroeder and Jason and his wife, Amanda Kelly Herman; great-grandchildren, Ryan Schroeder and Christopher and Luke Herman; sisters, Helen Matash and Alice Kifus; brothers, Paul and Andrew Velky; a sister-in-law; a Great Aunt, cousin and friends.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Entombment in LaFayette Memorial Park.
