Beverly Gaster Yekel
Beverly A. Gaster Yekel, 66, of Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, March 20, 2003 in her residence.
She was born February 1, 1937 in Shoaf, Pa., daughter of William D. Gaster and Edna Reynolds Gaster. Beverly was Free Methodist by faith.
Her parents, husband, Paul E. Yekel, a son, Kenneth “Moe” Yekel, and three brothers preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children: Edward Yekel and wife, Tammy, of Fairchance, Pa., Linda Higbee of Uniontown, Pa., Timothy Yekel and wife, Donna, of Uniontown, Pa., and William Yekel and wife, Karen, of Birmingham, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, March 23, until 2 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
