Karissa Marie Miller
HOPELESS
The day grows on and she grows tired
The night is long, her life is expired. The beast has conquered, the disease has won
Her pain has ended, her day is done.
She was foolish, thinking she could win
Cancer has taken her with a spiteful grin
She never did all she could have,
She never got all she should have
Her anger was great, her tears were many.
She searched fro hope, but couldn’t find any.
