ASBURY UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will attend the Lenten luncheon at noon Wednesday. A short business meeting will follow the Bible Study. NEARLY NEW SHOP, located in the basement of the Hopwood United Methodist Church, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Clothes, jewelry and miscellaneous items will be sold.

ST. CECILIA’S CHUCH, Grindstone, will hold a spaghetti dinner Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Take-out orders will be available by calling 724-785-2792. Price for adults is $5.50 and $3 for children meals.

SENIOR ACTION COUNCIL of Fayette County will meet at noon Thursday at the American Legion, Trotter. Members are to note the change in meeting time. The meeting will be followed by ca covered-dish dinner.
CURFEW GRANGE AND FLATWOODS FIRE DEPARTMENT will co-sponsor a buckwheat supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Curfew Grange. A bake sale will be held. Costs are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 10; children 3 and younger may eat free.
