Arthur Raymond Cooley
Arthur Raymond Cooley, 91, of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, March 22, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born February 15, 1912 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Harry Cooley and Sarah McFadden Cooley.
Mr. Cooley was a former Electrician for West Penn Power and later Allegheny Power for over 42 years and was a talented musician who played any instrument with strings.
His wife, Anna Mae Lewis Cooley, two sons, David Kenneth “Buzz” Cooley and John Lewis Cooley, two brothers, William and Donald, two sisters, Catherin and Esther, and parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Alan Ray Cooley Sr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Smithfield, Pa.; a daughter, Mary E. “Betty” Hart of Uniontown; five grandchildren: James Andrew Cooley of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Terry Lynn Dikun of Rices Landing, Pa., Alan Ray Cooley Jr. of Hopwood, Pa., Charles Grimm of Maryland, and Justin Malik of Hopwood; a great grandson, Alan Ray Cooley III of Jefferson, Pa.; two brothers: Harry Cooley and his wife, Mary, of Fairchance, Pa., and Harold Kenneth Cooley of Uniontown; and a sister, Mary Jane Cooley Jeffries and her husband, Robert, of Fairchance.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today (Tuesday, March 25) until 11 a.m., the hour of Service.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Visitation was also held Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
