Thomas F. Zitney, 53, of South Connellsville, Pa., died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of the late Bruno Frank (1986) and Agnes Margaret (Cutler) Zitney (1977).

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Connellsville.

After graduating from Uniontown High School, Class of 1967,he enlisted with the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge along with The National Defense Service & Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals.

Thomas was presently employed by Fikes Dairy in the Blow Mold Department.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy (Bartholomai) Zitney of South Connellsville; two daughters, Sandy Brooks and husband, Curtis and Daneen Scarry and husband, Mike, both of Connellsville; a son, Gary ” Troy” Davis of Vanderbilt; three grandchildren, Aaron and Luke Scarry and Steven Davis; two brothers, Frank E. Zitney Sr., and wife, Lori and Robert W. Zitney, both of Vanderbilt; two sisters, Kathleen Kruest and husband, Harry of Vanderbilt, and Patricia Young of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received today and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Terry Hercik as celebrant. Entombment will follow with full military rites accorded at the graveside in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. A Parish Wake Service will be held, in the funeral home, on Friday at 8:45 p.m.
